This RX-7 is shown in the paint scheme that was used during 1992 practice runs at El Mirage Dry Lake Bed. This car was used in a Land Speed Record attempt at Bonneville Speedway that abruptly ended when the car became airborne at approximately 230 MPH! The car was repaired and repainted in "black" paint scheme, then successfully set two land speed records.
