The ClutchNet Stage 1 Clutch Disc for the 1990-93 Miata is an ideal upgrade from the stock Mazda clutch disc. The design of the Clutch Net disc eliminates the soft Marcel springs located between the disc linings on the Mazda OEM unit, and replaces them with a flat, rigid plate, while retaining the sprung-hub assembly. The friction lining material is 34mm wide, fully maximizing the clamping surfaces of the flywheel and pressure plate. The result is a disc that engages quicker - requiring a bit more clutch "technique" when starting, and releases quicker - making life a bit easier for the transmission synchros. This disc is well suited for high output street engines and interchanges exactly with the stock disc. It can be used with either the stock pressure plate or any aftermarket pressure plate. This disc is not recommended for use on supercharged or turbocharged engines.
