Racing Beat-designed sway bars for the 1994-97 Miata reduce chassis roll in turns and increase your car's sensitivity to steering inputs, thereby improving maximum cornering power. Substantial engineering effort, select steel alloys, and precise manufacturing techniques are combined to produce top performance components. All Racing Beat sway bars are finished with a distinctive, red powder coating, which provides a smooth, glossy protective layer. You can be assured of many years of superior handling performance with these proven bars!
The addition of a set of matched-set front and rear solid sway bars is an ideal way to dramatically improve the handling of your Miata without sacrificing ride overall ride quality. If you use your Miata primarily as a daily driven car with occasional trips to the track or your favorite mountain road, the solid bar combination is well-suited for your needs.
Racing Beat has refined 30 years of racing experience and undisputed successes into the design of our Miata suspension components. From a MotorTrend Magazine (RB 1990 Miata, June, 1993) all-time slalom record (73.6 MPH) to a Sport Compact Car (RB 1999 Miata ) skidpad record (1.1g), Racing Beat suspension components have proven themselves where it counts, on the track. Don't fall for the hype when others say their bars are the "best", look for independent confirmation from the nation's leading automotive publications.
The diameter of the Racing Beat front bar is 15/16", and weighs 10 lbs. (Stock - .3/4" diameter, 6 lbs.) and features one (1) endlink attachment hole. Each sway bar is supplied with replacement urethane bushings, Prothane grease, and detailed installation instructions. The shape of this bar is dimensionally identical to the 1990-93 Racing Beat solid bar, but the bar arms on the 1994-97 bar are slightly longer due larger 1.8 liter engine.
For racers in the SCCA E Stock class, the use of the RB solid front bar (and stock rear bar) is a popular combination. This bar can also be combined with the Brace Kit Hardware. (The brace itself is not legal in this class, but the supporting hardware can be used.)
