Ordering Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Why will Racing Beat only ship my order to the billing address that the bank has on record for my credit card? This is very inconvenient for me.
Unfortunately the automotive parts industry has a lengthy history of credit card fraud. In order to protect our relationship with our customers, and privileges with our credit card processing bank, we have agreed to follow the banks guidelines and ship only to the primary billing address that the credit card issuer has on file. This information is verified by Racing Beat employees utilizing an AVS (Address Verification System) provided by the bank. We feel that this additional level of security, although sometimes inconvenient, is a service to our customers and far outweighs the difficulty of credit card fraud.

I absolutely cannot ship to the billing address of my credit card. Do I have any options?
Although we cannot make exceptions to this policy., if you absolutely cannot have your order shipped to the billing address of your credit card, you can opt to send us a cashiers check or money order, including freight cost, and specify the desired shipping address. You will need to contact us before the funds are sent in order to obtain a freight quote. Another option is you can contact one of our Authorized Racing Beat Dealers. They may have a different shipping policy and possibly facilitate shipping to an alternate address.

Do you accept Paypal payments?
No, we do not accept Paypal payments. Paypal is a very convenient method to transfer funds for individuals or small companies without a credit card merchant account. Since we already have a credit card merchant account, we have not been able to determine a practical benefit for us to utilize the Paypal service.

I have an alternate address on file with my bank. Can I have my order shipped to this address?
No. We can only ship to the primary billing address listed with your credit card issuer.

UPS ground is the only shipping method offered on the website. Can I expedite the shipping of my order?
UPS (United Parcel Service) is our established freight carrier. If you would like your shipment to be expedited please call us immediately after you submit your order. We are capable of utilizing all services offered by UPS (ie. 3-day, 2nd day, next day, etc.). Available options will be confirmed at the time of your call. Please have your web order number ready.

Can I have my order shipped through the US Postal Service?
Yes, however you must call us immediately and request this method of shipping. Most items, with the exception of very large boxes, are able to ship via USPS. Please have your web order number ready.

My billing address is a PO box and UPS will not deliver a package to a PO box. If
your billing address is a PO box your order will be sent via US Postal Service. Most items can be sent through the US Post Office. The only exceptions are extremely large boxes; such as fiberglass body kits, complete exhaust systems, oversized items, etc.... If your package is too large to ship via USPS then you will be contacted immediately and alternate shipping options will be discussed.

How are online orders processed?
When your web order is submitted it is encrypted and sent to our server. Each morning our sales staff retrieves these orders and outputs the pending orders. The credit card information is de-encrypted and each order is entered into our system manually by a salesperson. This allows us to carefully scrutinize each individual order and contact you if we have any questions. Orders are typically processed and shipped out within 1-3 business days. Transit time depends on the shipping method and geographical location. You will be contacted regarding back-orders or questions we have that may delay the order.

I live in a country other than the US. Can I still place an order with you?
Yes, send us an email with your complete shipping address (country, city, state, postal code, etc.) and the part numbers and quantities of the items you wish to order. You should receive a response with a freight quote, order total and ordering instructions within 1-3 business days. To find a current email address click on the "contact us" button of our home page. There was no freight cost on my order. How much is freight?
Due to the nature of the products we sell it is impossible to create a standardized freight table based on dollar amount or other similar methods. If you would like an estimate of freight please contact the Racing Beat sales staff. We will be able to provide you with a reasonably accurate estimate. An exact freight cost will not be available until the order has been packed, weighed and entered into our UPS computer.

Can you put a note on the box to have UPS leave the package at the door?
No, we cannot. Once your order leaves our warehouse in UPS’ hands it becomes their responsibility. They obviously want to protect their best interests and it is completely the driver's discretion as to whether the package will be dropped off without a signature. Our customers will often leave a note for the UPS driver with special instructions. This may be successful but it is still no guarantee. UPS will make 3 delivery attempts and leave a note after each attempt before the package is returned to the sender.
