This Heater-Water-Outlet Plug is an inexpensive and reliable way to plug the heater water outlet port on the rear rotor housing for those who do not use a heater. The 1981 and earlier rotary engines had a threaded fitting for the water outlet that accepts this threaded plug, while the 1982 and later engines this changed to a "pressed-in tube" design. Hence, the 1982 and later engines cannot use this threaded fitting.
