The Racing Beat photo archive contains 1000's of fascinating photo images showing various racing endeavors from the early 1970's through the mid-1990's. Each photo print has been digitally scanned from the original color transparency and hand colored-corrected and retouched to optimize clarity and color detail. Each photo is printed on luster-finish photo paper for outstanding color retention and resistance to fading. Photo Details
This exceptionally detailed photo has been printed from a high resolution scan originally used in the production of our rotary catalog. As seen the enlarged photo print, there is outstanding shadow, highlight detail and color saturation. The Racing Beat 1995 RX-7 is shown on the Bonneville salt flats after successfully setting a new record of 242.005 MPH. After an ill-fated attempt to set the record in the 1993 due a serious "airborne" accident, the Racing Beat RX-7 was rebuilt and repainted in the "Back in Black" paint scheme shown and ultimately established a new land speed record. As of 2008, the record still stood!

As a bonus, you can have your photo autographed by Racing Beat's founder's, Mr. Jim Mederer and/or Mr. Takayuki Oku. Jim Mederer, Racing Beat's chief engineering and fabricator, has continued to spearhead the development of many championship "rotary" efforts over the years. Joined by his "behind-the scenes" partner Mr. Oku, this dynamic team has continued to develop Mazda-based racing and performance projects for over thirty years.
