1983-92 12A/13B 6-Port Non-turbo

The Exedy Race Pressure Plate for all 1983-1992 12A and the 13B 6-Port rotary engines (non-turbo) exerts very high pressure on the disk (820kg - 1807 lbs clamping load) to avoid slippage and is intended only for drag and road racing applications. It interchanges exactly with the stock RX-7 pressure plate. As with all of our products, this disc is built only from new parts - this is not a remanufactured unit. This pressure plate is compatible with all 225mm RX-7 clutch discs.

We strongly recommend replacing the throw-out bearing during any clutch work to ensure trouble free performance. Also, we recommend replacing the transmission front and rear seal kit when re-installing the transmission to reduce the possibility of leakage.

None of the flywheel or clutch components we offer should ever be allowed to exceed 10,500 RPM under any condition. This same RPM limit applies to stock components. You must use an engine RPM-limiter to prevent excessive RPM. If your engine is capable of exceeding 8,500 RPM you must install a transmission scatter shield, or ballistic blanket. Failure to implement the above may result in serious injury or even death.
