Transmission Throwout Bearing

We offer the Mazda OE replacement RX-8 throwout bearing for use on the clutch assembly. The original throwout bearing normally does not require replacement unless it has been abused in some way. However, if it has been making noise, such as a whirring sound when the clutch pedal is depressed, or if the slave linkage has run out of clearance, replacement is wise. Any roughness felt in the bearing after it is removed is cause for replacement. We strongly suggest replacement of the throwout bearing when servicing the clutch assemply unit as a form of cheap insurance - instead of facing a costly and time consuming repair job if this unit were to fail at a later time.
