Racing Beat High Flow Intake
Click Here for the High Flow Intake Dyno Results The HighFlow Assembly is essentially an open-element K&N air filter and an aluminum tube, which replaces the Miata's stock airbox. The assembly is designed to free up the intake but still draws hot air from the engine compartment. The Racing Beat HighFlow intake competes with the factory cruise control actuator for real estate under the Miata's tiny hood. This fitment requires remounting the actuator with a bracket which is also available from Racing Beat. The kit uses two mounting brackets to locate the filter and aluminum elbow to the chassis in several points. Dyno testing at K&N's Riverside, Cal facility is conducted with the hood raised and multiple fans circulating air through the engine compartment. This arrangement no doubt helps both the Racing Beat and HKS under hood intakes make bigger numbers on the dyno and is exactly why we're also showing output numbers corrected for actual intake temperatures at 45 mph. (RB Note: A bracket is supplied with the 1994-97 kit to reposition the cruise control unit. A optional kit is required to relocate the cruise control unit on the 1990-93 models.) |
