Part Number: PPDUAL-96-97
The popular Power Pulse Miata Dual Exhaust System for the 1996-1997 Miata is produced by Racing Beat using 304-stainless steel material ensure superior durability and to provide an outstanding appearance. The Racing Beat Power Pulse Miata Dual Exhaust project was originally started after a request by Mazda USA for a prototype system for use on one of their earlier project Miatas. Reaction was extremely positive and we soon included this exhaust system in our Racing Beat line-up. This complete cat-back, bolt-on system is fully emissions legal and sound level compliant, this easy-to-install system is the perfect addition to any Miata!
Power Pulse Dual Muffler
The heart of the Power Pulse Miata dual outlet exhaust system is the Racing Beat-designed muffler canister. The Racing Beat polished dual outlet canister is equipped with stainless steel inlet and outlet pipes for superior durability under even the harshest conditions. Exclusive cast-stainless steel flanges mate the the muffler inlet pipe to the connecting pipe section, ensuring excellent gas sealing qualities. The dual exhaust tips are manufactured using highly polished 304-stainless steel and are slightly oval in shape to provide a perfect balance and proportional look for the Miata's rear bumper. Each tip features a etched Racing Beat logo to add the finishing touch!
As noted by many Miata enthusiasts, Racing Beat exhaust systems have been tuned to provide the Miata with a deep, throaty exhaust note - without any harsh, buzzy or raspy sounds. When combined with a Racing Beat Power Pulse Connecting Pipe, this dual tip exhaust system will add just the right amount of attitude to your Miata!
1996-97 Miata Connecting Pipe
Each Power Pulse exhaust system comes complete with a resonated connecting pipe section which mates the muffler section to the outlet of the catalytic converter unit. The straight-through presilencer unit features a perforated stainless steel core, surrounded with stainless steel packing material to absorb unwanted high-pitched exhaust tones. The connecting pipe for the 1996-97 Miata includes a mounting position for the ODB-II required oxygen sensor. For Miata owners looking for an even more aggressive exhaust tone, we offer our non-resonated Sport connecting pipe exhaust system.
Each Power Pulse Miata Dual Exhaust System comes complete with fully detailed installation instructions and mounting hardware, and can be easily installed by the weekend mechanic using only simple hand tools. This exhaust system uses the original hanger positions and rubber grommets - simply unbolt and remove the original system from your Miata and you're ready to install the Racing Beat system! A positioning template is provided to assist with the cutting of the new opening for the additional outlet tip. The new opening can be cut through the soft urethane bumper material using only a small utility knife, or by using a small hobby-type grinding too. A small sanding block is then required to smooth out the opening to the final shape.
