This stunning Exedy Lightweight Steel Flywheel (Exedy ZF501A) can be installed on select Mazda 3 and Miata MX-5 applications and is compatible with both Mazda OE and performance-upgrade aftermarket clutch discs. Exedy flywheels are SFI-approved for use in specific racing applications.

Weight Comparison / Specifications
The weight of the stock MX-5/Mazda3 flywheel is 16.2 lbs as compared to 13 lbs for the Exedy Lightweight Steel Flywheel. The MX-5/Mazda3 flywheel accepts a 215mm OD clutch disc and features a 23-tooth/26.2mm diameter spline. As compared with the earlier 22-tooth/24.3mm diamater spline on the Miata 1.6/1.8 ltr models.
Exedy Flywheel kits include the flywheel unit and the appropriate mounting hardware, which includes the appropriate tensile-strength hardware to attach the pressure plate to the flywheel. DO NOT use other aftermarket flywheel mounting kits with the Exedy flywheels.
We strongly recommend replacing the throwout bearing during any clutch work to ensure trouble free performance.
