Early Rotary & 1979-85 Mazda RX-7 : Clutch/Pressure Plate
Racing Beat offers clutch components for most rotary engine applications. It is important to note that early 1971-82 12A/13B (except Rotary Pickup) engine applications utilized a 215mm OD clutch disc, the 1983-92 12A/13 non-turbo engines utilized a 225mm OD clutch disc, and the 1987-95 RX-7 Turbo/RX-8 engine applications utilized a 240mm OD clutch disc. The early 1971-82 (215mm) applications can be upgraded to the larger 225mm disc if an appropriate aftermarket flywheel, rear counterweight, and pressure plate intended for use with the larger 225mm clutch disc are installed.
