The Racing Beat photo archive contains 1000's of fascinating photo images showing various racing endeavors from the early 1970's through the mid-1990's. We've looked through these photos and are making available a limited number of exclusive photo prints. Each photo print has been digitally scanned from the original color transparency and hand colored-corrected and retouched to optimize clarity and color detail. Each photo is printed on luster-finish photo paper for outstanding color retention and resistance to fading. Photo Details
This photo shows the Racing Beat GTU RX-7 leading Don Devendorf's Datsun Z during the 1980 season. During most of the season the #17 RX-7 was driven by Jeff Kline with Walt Bohren driving the fuel-injected #7 RX-7. Late in the season the number #7 car was destroyed in an accident, leaving both drivers to share the cockpit for the final race at Daytona.
