After earlier success on the Bonneville Salt Flats with a Racing Beat/Car and Driver RX-3 project, Racing Beat returned in 1978 with a race-prepped RX-7 and boosted the class record from 167.208 MPH to a record-setting speed of 183.904MPH! This RX-7 held the class record for many years and is now proudly is on display at Mazda Japan.
